Service Description

Fitness and Pilates Instructors meet a variety of clients who are restricted in their movements for a variety of reasons. Often, spinal flexion is contraindicated due to some specified concern. Learn how to modify Pilates exercises in a range of intensity levels to create workouts that achieve the primary goal of limiting spinal flexion while providing an effective full-body workout. Toning Balls, Stability Cushions and the Flex-Band® exerciser are used to increase upper body resistance while further challenging the stability of the torso in a neutral alignment. Learning objectives Discuss how the STOTT PILATES® Principles apply when movement is restricted Discover how to create a challenging workout without altering spinal alignment Learn to incorporate small handweights in a full flexion-free workout Explore exercise modifications in order to keep the workout safe Equipment used in this workshop Pilates Mat (1:1) Toning Balls (2:1) Flex-Band (1:1) Stability Cushions (2:1) This workshop will be either in person at the Deddington Studio or Online Via Zoom. If you are online then please make sure you have the equiptment you need to complete this course.

Cancellation Policy

1. Booking & Payment The full course fee must be paid in full, 4 weeks before the start date of the course. Your booking is only confirmed once full payment is received. 2. Entry Requirements Each course has specific entry requirements such as previous experience, certifications and other courses completed. We ask that you fill the application form detailing your experience etc. This needs to be submitted 3 weeks after you have paid the deposit for the course 3. Course Attendance You are required to attend all days of the course to be considered to have completed the course. 4. Refund Policy All payments are non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for cancellations, no-shows, or partial attendance. 5. Direct Debit for Mat and Reformer Courses If paying via a direct debit, then final payment must be completed 4 weeks before the course start date. Failure to complete direct debit payments before the course begins may result in loss of booking without a refund. 6. Course Transfers Course transfers to another course date for the same person booked on to the course can be done as long as you let us know in writing at least 2 months before the course starts. A change fee of £400 is required for changes between 8 and 4 weeks before course start. We cannot make changes after the 4 week deadline. 7. Cancellations & Changes The company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses. In such cases, alternative arrangements to another course date or a credit will be offered. Participants may not transfer their booking to another person without prior written approval. 8. Non-Attendance If a participant fails to attend the course without prior notice, no refund or credit will be issued. By booking a course, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
