The updated STOTT PILATES® Intensive Reformer (2nd Edition) course equips you with the science and artistry of teaching Pilates, empowering you to become a skilled professional. You’ll learn to design and lead the STOTT PILATES® Reformer repertoire, preparing you to work in diverse settings with a wide range of clients. By the end of the course, you’ll have a strong foundation and the essential skills to create dynamic, effective Pilates Reformer programs. Plus, you’ll be guided by an experienced Lead Instructor Trainer Saulo Ouverney who will mentor you throughout your educational journey

The course will take you through 139 exercises with modifications, a postural analysis and programming to give you the tools you need as a STOTT PILATES® certified instructor.

Manuals will posted to you after booking the course. This way you are as prepared as possible for the course.

Exam Information: Once course is completed, your written and practical exam can be completed within 6 months.

About the STOTT PILATES® Intensive Reformer, 2nd Edition course:
Prepare yourself to teach a broad range of exercises, variations and modifications performed on the Reformer. Furthermore, learn how to combine Mat and Reformer (if you have taken matwork course) based workouts for increased variety and intensity.
STOTT PILATES® is a contemporary, anatomically-based approach to the original exercise method developed by Joseph Pilates. Developed by former professional dancer Moira Merrithew and a team of sports medicine professionals, this method incorporates modern exercise science and rehabilitation principles. The result is a method that is safe and a highly effective low-impact way to stretch, strengthen and streamline the body.
This course is ideal for experienced studio and fitness instructors, personal trainers, sports therapists, physiotherapists and those with a background in dance looking to improve their range of skills and enhance their employability. However, any Pilates enthusiast looking to enhance or change careers can book this course if they fulfil the anatomy requirements.
Course Pre-requisites

Gym or Studio Instructor or equivalent, or dancer. Alternatively, functional Anatomy background

At least 30 hours of attending Pilates classes is required

Background practical knowledge of Pilates as a user-either the STOTT PILATES® method or another style

Teaching experience is recommended

Note: If no previous functional anatomy experience, you will need to book an atatomy course in order to be accepted to this course. We recommend that you book the anatomy course online at least six weeks before your STOTT PILATES® course to allow enough time to study
Anatomy Course
Students with no previous anatomy experience will be accepted to the STOTT PILATES® courses when booking an anatomy course.
Requirements for certification

Minimum 10 hours of observation

Minimum 40 hours of physical review

Minimum 25 hours of practice teaching
All minimum hours must be completed and logged before booking your exam. Your exam must be booked within 6 months of the course end.

How to Book
Step 1:
Complete and Submit the application form and you will recieve a confrimation email
Step 3:
Receive your manuals by post. This will include your Merrithew Connect access so you can start diving in.
Step 2:
Once you recieve the acceptance email you will need to book your spot and pay
Step 4:
Final payment needs to be done 1 month before the course starts
You will receive an email with pre course work that needs to be completed before day 1.
